Ebook Formatting
Ebook formatting requires a word doc (.doc or .docx) of your book as well as a .jpg of your cover as we insert the cover into the file. We are able to give you several different varieties of file types, allowing you to upload to Kindle, Smashwords, or other services.
We will work directly with you to achieve the look and feel you are going for and revisions are always free.
Cost: $50 flat fee via paypal for typical fiction/nonfiction books. $75 via paypal for books with extensive interior graphics.
Print Book Formatting
We utilize Affinity Publisher to create a ready to print .pdf of your book in whatever size you require. This file is easily uploaded to KDP, Lulu, Ingram, etc. for printing.
As with the Ebook formatting, we will work directly with you to achieve the look you desire, including choices of interior fonts and images.
Cost: $75 flat fee via paypal for typical fiction/nonfiction books. $100 via paypal for books with extensive interior graphics.
Formatting Bundle
If you wish to get both the Ebook and the Paperback/Hardcover formatting completed, we offer the following packages.
For simple books: $100 flat fee via paypal, a savings of $25.
For complex books: $140 flat fee via paypal, a savings of $35.
Editing can be expensive to the point where self-published authors will often not get it done. We understand that since we were self-published too. Because of this, we are now offering both developmental and basic copyediting services.
Developmental editing is a deep dive into your story, looking for plot holes and inconsistencies in story and character, and generally helping you write the best book that you can. We might pick up some syntax errors along the way, but it’s not the goal.
Copyediting is focused more on your syntax (grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.). You definitely want to have this done before submitting or publishing. We don’t look at story inconsistencies during this editing, but if something stands out we will probably let you know.
Genres: We are most fluent in Fantasy, Science Fiction, Pulp Adventure and Horror. Anything outside of these genres is outside of our wheelhouse, so if you’re looking for developmental edits in a different genre we recommend checking with someone who knows the genre well. We also will not review any erotica, even if it fits into the above genres. Please do not submit it.
